How to Get XP Fast in Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite has had a hugely successful launch, as Jake's review shows. The progression system consists of a ranked mode and a Battle Pass, but many have struggled to gain XP more quickly.
Here are a few strategies and tactics to use if you're looking to beef up your ranking and unlock new cosmetic items for your Spartan. Your progress carries over to the full game, so don't worry about wasting time and effort getting your levels up.
We also have some advice on ranking up your Fracture: Tenrai pass faster, if you've been struggling with that.
Focus on Weekly Challenges
Your weekly challenges are available from the Season 1 screen, found by pressing Y or clicking in the top-right corner of the screen.
You get XP for participating in PvP matches thanks to your daily challenge, but the weeklies are where you can get a load more XP. They'll be specific challenges you need to complete, and often need you to focus on a certain aspect of the game such as destroying a Warthog or getting kills with a specific gun.
See those little arrows to the left of each challenge? Well, if you don't like the challenge, you can use a Challenge Swap to replace it with another random challenge.
Remember, all progress towards the old challenge will be deleted, so think carefully about whether you really can't be bothered with the challenge or if you're nearly there. You can see how many Challenge Swaps you have left with the little number to the left of where the time remaining in the week is counting down.
Also, after completing all your weekly challenges, you get the ultimate reward of the week. In this case, that's the Sacrifice nameplate.
For your Fracture Tenrai Battle Pass, you'll need to accomplish special missions coloured orange. Each one of these you complete will send you up one rank on the special Battle Pass track for the event. There's no point in doubling your XP if you're focusing on that, but the challenges still offer XP so following the rest of these steps will speed up your regular Battle Pass progression. Unlock Double XP Boosts and XP Grants
If you're alright with spending some money on unlockables in Halo Infinite, then this is for you.
XP Grants can be gained by purchasing the expanded version of the Premium Battle Pass. This costs more, at 2,200 credits, but offers 100 instances of an immediate 250 XP added to your Battle Pass.
You can also use Double XP Boosts, earned through ranking up the Battle Pass as well as purchasable in the Halo Infinite shop. These double the amount of XP you earn for a period of time, meaning you should pop your tokens just before trying to complete as many weekly and daily challenges as possible. Wait until you're one notch off of the reward and then use the token for maximum effectiveness.
Log In Daily
Halo Infinite's daily challenges have been updated to reward players who log into the game every day. The first six games of the day will reward you with more XP for your Battle Pass, so make sure you squeeze those matches in. Here's how much you can earn.
- 1st Game: 300XP
- 2nd Game: 200XP
- 3rd Game: 200XP
- 4th Game: 100XP
- 5th Game: 100XP
- 6th Game: 100XP
- 7th+ Game: 50XP
Buy Levels Outright
This is a pretty expensive way to level up and earn XP in Halo Infinite, but if you're made of money and fancy some quick ranks, then it's the one for you.
You can go up a rank in the Battle Pass for 200 Credits. This can get pretty pricy, as the smallest credits bundle is £3.99 (Or $4.99) for 500 Credits. This means 200 Credits is worth $2, so if you ranked up all 100 tiers of the Battle Pass using this method, it'd cost you $200. Yikes.
We recommend sticking to the other strategies, as they won't wipe you out every season, but some high-level streamer types might fancy splashing the cash.
At the moment, that's what you'll need to focus on when ranking up and gaining XP on Halo Infinite! Why not have a look at some more Halo Infinite guides we've been working on though?
