Everything You Need to Know About Kazuha in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact Kazuha is the newest character who's more than likely going to be added in Genshin Impact 1.6. He’s a wandering swordsman from the Inazuma region who carries secrets buried deep within his heart, but he works with the Liyue navy for now.
Whatever the story reasons behind that might be, it could also be because miHoYo doesn't plan on introducing Inazuma until Genshin Impact 1.7.
Kazuha is a five-star Anemo character who uses a sword. He's not as strong as other, recent five-star additions such as Eula, but there is one special benefit Kazuha has that will likely make him indispensible: his Elemental Mastery.
Unlike previous leaked characters, it looks as if we won’t be able to gather Kazuha materials anytime soon. Half the character materials are only found in Inazuma, which is, of course, inaccessible until the 1.6 update.
Here's everything we know about Genshin Impact Kazuha so far, including his Constellations, materials, skills, and more.

Update May 28
miHoYo confirmed Kazuha is planned for Genshin 1.6, though the update is a bit different from what we expected.
miHoYo all but confirmed Inazuma is coming in Genshin Impact 1.6, and that means Kazuha probably will as well. There's some debate over whether Kazuha and Ayaka are both being added as five-star characters or just one.
However, the general consensus is Kazuha is closer to being finished than Ayaka. If true, he's probably the one who's going to be the update's main new character.
If 1.6 is anything like the last two updates, we'll probably see Kazuha in the second half, sometime in late June. That's typically when miHoYo adds the new headline characters, including Hu Tao in February and Rosariain 1.4.
Kazuha Skills
- Plunging attack: Plunges from mid-air and deals AoE damage on impact.
- Ranran Haishi plunging attack: Use a pluge attack after using Kazuha's Elemental Skill. Turns plunge attack damage into Anemo damage and pulls enemies closer.
Kazuha Elemental Skill: Chihayafuru
Kazuha’s Elemental skill has two forms, a basic form activated by pressing the skill button and a more powerful form activated by holding the skill button.
- Press – Pulls enemies closer, then launches them away and deals AoE damage. The launch pushes Kazuha into the air, where he can activate Ranran Haishi.
- Hold – Same attack, but charges the vortex to deal more damage
Kazuha Elemental Burst: Manyou no Ittou
Kazuha delivers a powerful Anemo sword slash that deals AoE damage and creates Ruka Akino, a field that triggers additional Anemo damage at set periods of time.
If enemies are afflicted with any other element, the burst deals additional damage of that elemental type.
Kazuha Constellations
- Senzan Kouhen: Decreases Chihayafuru’s cooldown time by 10%. Activating Kazuha’s Elemental Burst resets the cooldown timer.
- Yamaarashi Zansin: The Ruka Akino field increases Elemental Mastery for Kazuha and all party members in the field by 200. This won’t stack with other Elemental Mastery effects.
- Fuushuu Kitan: Increases Chihayafuru’s level by three with a maximum of 15.
- Oozora Genpou: When Kazuha’s Elemental Energy is below 45, Chihayafuru regenerates three Energy (press) or four Energy (hold). Gliding will regenerate two Energy.
- Bansei no Shuu: Increases Manyou no Ittou’s level by three with a maximum of 15
- Ketsuseki Haku: Using Kazuha’s Elemental Skill or Burst increases his Anemo power. Each point of Elemental Mastery will increase all Kazuha’s normal attacks and Ranran Haishi by 0.2%
Kazuha Voice Actor
Genshin leaker Dimbreath posted a short clip of Kazuha's spoken lines in Japanese, and while there's no confirmation of who it might be, some keen listeners believe the Kazuha voice actor is Nobunaga Shimazaki of Sword Art Online fame.
Kazuha Character Materials
The Kazuha materials for leveling up revolve around two new items found only in Inazuma, the Sea Ganoderma and Maguu Keshin.
One of these is from Maguu Kenki, the new boss added in 1.6's Midsummer Adventure.
The islands disappear after the event ends, though it's not certain if miHoYo will put the boss elsewhere once it's over.
The other materials are standard Vayuda items, from Stormterror or the Anemo Hypostasis, and Insignia items from Treasure Hoarders.
